After trying this product a few years ago and loving it, and like most us, I was lured away by other products with big talk, that were less expensive and with little results, so I recently returned to this little gem.
This eye cream is indeed very moisturizing, making concealer application effortlessly and prolonging the duration of concealer and slightly lightens my under eye dark circles, however, this eye cream has recently been discontinued (here is the link to Avon's website: http://reviews.avon.com/5588/30492/reviews.htm) as are all of Avon's Anew Alternative line of products. Huh? Why does Avon continue to do this and play with it's customer's loyalty? This is what I can't stand about Avon; is that when they come out with new products, they discontinue the older products despite the fact that they have HUGE followings In this case the Anew Alternative line of products). However, as of the date of this review, March 3, 2010, this product is being sold on eBay for less than a third the original price (Avon sold this eye cream for $25 for 15 ml jar) but I found it on eBay for only $7 not including shipping, so I am planning on stocking up on this product very soon.
Personally, I will soon be on the hunt (again!!!) for yet another good moisturizing eye cream, thus I wanted to give one final homage to a wonderful recently discontinued Avon product.

PROS: Absorbs well. Moisturizes well, but not great.
CONS: No other effects on bags, circles. A little spendy.
Overall, a nice product that will probably work well for some people, but it's not quire enough for me.

Avon discontinued the eye cream I had been using so I decided to try a new one and this one claims to fight against dark circles and hydrate the eye area. After a couple of uses I noticed the skin around my eye looked better but most notably it felt better. It felt more plush and hydrated instead of thin. The box says there should be improvement in the eye area after 7 days and dark circles lighten by two shades in two weeks and continued use reveals more results. Just based on how much better my skin feels I would buy it again, I will continued to update this review as I use it, two weeks, four weeks and two months
one week:dark circles have improved by a few shades, though not completely gone. Skin around my eyes feels less thin and hydrated.
monthish:dark circles have continued to lighten with everyday use so I'm happy. Skinr around my eye area looks brighter and healthier, also I don't believe this is marketed for wrinkles but the ones just under my eyes have improved, not that I really have wrinkles to begin with but everyone has those little lines just under their eye. So I'm happy with this eye cream and will repurchase

Well, firstly allow me to say that I have been waging war on my dark under eye circles since I was a teen. I am now 26 and have become a master camoflauge artist with my make-up. However it would be nice not to have to go through the process of disguising them. So I am constantly on the look-out for decent products. I don't expect miracles..I'd be pretty stoked if they just improved by 30-50%. Anyway I ordered this product from my local avon lady and I have gone through two jars of it now. I really like it as a moisturizer. It smells light and nice and absorbs well. It does seem to help my makeup go on smoother (but be wary, the herbal scent of it can sting the eyes slightly). However its benefits on dark circles are very minimal. So minimal infact that I'm not sure if the cream actually helped or I imagined it. Soooo
In summary if your looking for a nice moisturizer and aren't to concerned about the anti-aging benefits or the dark circles, then this is nice semi-cheap option. However if you want real results for real problems then you can definately find something more productive to spend your money on. Even if its on better concealer and cover up..
Good Luck Girls..

This eye cream is moisturizing and light (almost a gel-cream consistency). I have used it during the day and at night; it absorbs and moisturizes well, but I haven't seen any remarkable results.

I like this a lot, I like the cool and fresh feeling on my eye area when I use it and the smell of it. It's non irritating and keeps my eye area moist, and I did notice that my eye area looked less dark and droopy when using it vs the 2 weeks or so without it that I had between jars. Love it.

I have already used 2 jars of this, I really like this, it's light and seems to do a good job moisturizing my fine lines. I'm looking to try something new and better though. It is not that it is bad, I just think something out there might be better. I am sensitive and this does not burn or irritate my eyes so that is a plus. If I don't find anything I will again re purchase this being my 3rd jar..

I'm also 26 and I have not seen a difference. I have serious undereye circles. I dont know what to do anymore, I guess I will have to live with the fact that nothing will treat my undereye circles...sigh...=(
I just have a collection of concealers and eye cream.

I have been using this cream for about 5 weeks now. I am 26, but due to genes I have always had dark circles and bags under my eyes. I can't atest to the benefits of wrinkle reduction, but it definately made my eye area brighter and less puffy. I use it at night only and use it on both my undereye area and lids. I have had no stinging or tearing of any kind. I will continue to use this until the jar runs out and then I will probaby buy another if I can't find anything better.

I also have a problem with eye creams causing my eyes to tear and sting and had problems with this one. It seems to be decent at moisturizing but it also caused several large milia-type bumps to form in my undereye area that are taking a while to go away.

Sensitive skin ladies stay away! I have tried the Anew line over and over again...still not learning a lesson. I think I finally have. I recently tried the Anew Alternative line...and I'm sorry I did. Although the smell is ok, the burning and itching that goes along with the creams with each use is not.

This product worked really well on my undereye circles. As a mid-30s Indian women, both genetics (we're quite prone to dark circles) and age have caught up with the skin around my eyes. I got a sample of this on the same day I received a sample of Dr. Weil's Eye Serum from Origins. So, I did a little experiment for about a week, and applied one product under my left eye and the other product under my right eye. My husband noticed the difference immediately at the end of the week. The Dr. Weil eye product was total crap - made no difference whatsoever (though I like how my skin feels when I use the overall face serum). Avon Alternative Eye Cream made a big difference.

There was so much hype when this product first came out into the market. What a disappointment. It did nothing for me. Not moisturizing enough, didn't firm anything and didn't do anything for my under eye dark circles. Luckily I bought this on Ebay at half the price.

This product kind of sucks as I had high hopes for it. Not only does it sting my rather sensitive eyes, it dries out my undereye area, and even worse, gives me milia!
I gave it a 2-star because while it totally not work for me, it may have some beneficial effects on others. But for me, this cream single-handedly undid all the benefits I had reaped from faithfully using Under EyeBryten over a 6-month period.
I think Avon should also seriously consider using pump containers for their higher-end eye creams. If the Retroactive+ Repair Eye Serum (which is totally useless by the way) can come in a hygenic pump bottle, I don't see why Avon is unable to provide such containers for this cream, as well as the
ANEW Clinical Eye Lift.
Using jars for storage of any facial products is just a plain bad idea since it increases the air-exposure, rendering all anti-oxidant ingredients prematurely ineffective.

I've been using this product since late June and while I can't say that I'm bowled over by the results, I am quite pleased. I am 22 and dark circles/ puffiness have never really been a concern of mine but the skin around my eyes IS a little darker than the rest of my face though not noticeably so. Over the course of using this eyecream morning and night for three months, I can conclusively say that my eye contour area looks much smoother and brighter. The texture and consistency of this cream is lovely, a light cream-gel formulation that glides on easily and absorbs instantly for a smooth, velvety finish. Unlike other eyecreams I've tried in the past, this one caused no stinging, burning or irritation whatsoever, despite featuring a long list of exotic Eastern botanicals (some of which I struggle to pronounce). In Australia, Avon's Anew Alternative Intensive Eye Cream retails for AUD 40 but I managed to get this off Ebay for about AUD 23. I probably wouldn't repurchase as I've managed to obtain Elemis' Eye Support for an excellent price at a salon's closing-down sale but I WOULD recommend this eyecream to others simply because it's an innovation in herbaceutical skincare, and as Avon purports, unites anti-ageing science and high-grade Eastern healing herbs to attack the major signs of ageing. All in all, an above average product that delivers results as long as one's expectations aren't too high. But for me, the hunt for HG eyecare continues....

I bought this as the first eye cream I have used - and used it faithfully. Although I do think it improved the condition of my undereye skin, it gave me milea - and I do not have sensitive skin. Waste of money.

I purchased this in conjunction with the SPF25 Day Cream, this also has a very nice creamy consistency, not tacky. Also, the scent is not over-powering and doesn't make my eyes tear, which quite a few eye creams do.

I received a small sample container of Avon's Intensive Eye Cream during one of my purchases. My eye area is sensitive so I was a little leery before I tried it. It was great after the first try. I didn't break out and it didn't sting or burn. I couldn't order a regular size fast enough. I think it's made a dramatic improvement around my eyes. I can't say that I don't have puffiness around my eye when I first wake up, but I can say that once I apply this cream the puffiness appears to fade and the area around my eyes looks a lot brighter. I used to use another Anew under eye cream (I don't think they carry it anymore) and if it got too close to my eye it would make it tear. It also didn't do what this Intensive Eye Cream does. I've been using it since the end of 2006 and I hope they don't change the formula. It is somewhat expensive, but worth it.

This product is wonderful. I started using it as an eye cream and noticed such a big difference in the first 2 weeks around my eyes and circles, that I have even begun using it as a face cream.
It's not greasy, it's very light almost gel-like, and it's quickly absorbed into my skin. I wash my face first with a cleanser, then I use my favorite toner, and I spread a thin layer on my face of Anew's Alternative Eye Cream and it has made my skin more even, soft and radiant. It is my breakthrough cream of the year and I plan to use for as long as I can. Love this product!!!!
